Examinations of the terracotta floor stones in the Sommerhalle of Schloss Stolzenfels with regard to their technology and possibilities of restoration The given task was to examine the terracotta floor stones in the Sommerhalle of Schloss Stolzenfels with regard to their production and their mechanical and hygric properties, in order to find out possibilities of restoring the floor covering. Desalination- and Cleaningtests were carried out and the results were presented. Silicic acid ester-bound mortars were furthermore produced and compared with the properties of the examined floor stones.
