| Zusammenfassung: | he history of the inn sign "Zum roten Ochsen" has hardly been researched until the beginning of this thesis. Through literature research and conversations with the restorer Gisbert Seng, important information on earlier restoration measures and on the object´s origin could be gathered. Technological investigations made it possible to examine the construction of the wooden beam and the frame structure. The focus of this work is a conservation concept that includes the cleaning and consolidation of the support and the paint layers . Since the inn sign will be exhibited in a museum in the future, a recommendation for monitoring is proposed in conclusion. |
