This bachelor thesis deals with the contextualization, documentation and conservation of a modern epaulette of the Torgau Field Artillery Regiment No. 74. The officer´s badge is first to be integrated into its historical context and its structure determined. After thorough documentation and assessment of the state of preservation, measures for the conservation of the object will be designed and tested on sample materials.
