Zusammenfassung: | The wrought-iron enclosure in Schloss Hof is an ensemble from the first half of the 18th century. It was made in the course of the construction of the palace complex of Prince Eugene of Savoy. It was presumably dismantled at the beginning of the 20th century and disassembled into individual parts. In addition to a detailed conservatory-restorative survey, the focus of the present work is on the development of a concept of conservation for the future restoration and reinstallation of the entire enclosure. The focus is on finding a suitable method for the removal of corrosion and the rebuilding of the paint. Gentle and at the same time effective blasting methods will be tested. The developed concept will be practically implemented in a sample restoration of one element of the object. |
