Zusammenfassung: This thesis examines the practicability of a conservation guide to a podcast. Aim is to evaluate the effort considering three different types of users (students, freelance conservators, institutions).
Podcasting as a young medium appears increasingly in public life. But so far it won’t be applicable
in German-speaking conservation area. The author supposes that podcasting will be a god medium
to make preventive conservation known among private owners of antiquities.
At first a guide is prepared to check the transferability. It explains environment, biological and anthropogenic effects, unpredictable actions, monitoring and behaviour in conservative emergencies. This guide can be transferred in a podcast with several episodes. While producing an exemplarily episode the particular steps will be explained to evaluate afterwards the effort. Therefor the familiarisation in audio technique, information technology and in journalism is needed.
This examination shows that a guide can be transferred very well to podcast. But the applicability of this medium has to be examined differentiated for the three types of users.
