| Zusammenfassung: | The „Bunte Hof“ in Osterwieck shows a history of more than 430 years. Built by Ludolph I. of Rössing in 1578/79, it is an example of rural timber frame construction in German renaissance style. The eventful history left behind several damages to this building. Though it has endured fire and wars without damages it has fallen victim to ravages of time and missing reconditioning arrangements. The aim of this diploma thesis was to create a conception for conservation and restoration of extant mural paintings on the 1st and 2nd floor. By means of example surfaces practicability of this conception shall be verified under monument preservation points of view for coming integration into a utilisation concept. A particular problem assignment was to remove supposed soot deposits from wooden surfaces. Via the example surfaces two different renaissance paintings were processed, one of them is a threedimensional, illusionistic „grisaille“ painting. |
