The topic of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of organic components of a binocular. This includes the evaluation of the state of preservation of all organic materials involved in the composite object as well as the planning of restoration and conservation measures in the background of their interactions. The restoration concept includes the testing of an unobtrusive securing method of dry archaeological leather and the consolidation of a wooden fracture surface.
