Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: In many fields of conservation the fine blasting method is used regularly and successfully. However, examples for the cleaning of wooden surfaces with this method there can´t be found. The transferability of this cleaning method for untreated wood surfaces is examined. The work contains an introductory theoretical part with basic information about cleaning and the blasting process and descriptions of a practical application. Finally, the results are evaluated and instructions for a proper use of a fine blasting unit on untreated wood surfaces were recommended.
