Abstract: : The topic of the presented thesis is the survey within mining archeology. During the survey of a 160 hectare area located in Oberharz / Niedersachsen, differing analytical methods were utilized. The choice of methodology was dependent on time factors and financial considerations, as well as the geographic factors of the surveyed area. The presented thesis describes the results of the field work, elucidates the applied research methods and analyses their applicability.
