Overview:

Abstract: The main objective of this thesis is to develop perspectives for an internal Quality Management System in the workshop of a Conservator-Restorer. First, the term of quality as such and basics of Quality Management applied to conservation-restoration are elaborated. Furthermore, the initial status for this system is specified. This leads to a profile of requirements specialised on the unique needs in the field of conservation-restoration. The result is a concept of a CQM-Modular System (Conservation Quality Management) which encourages self-assessment techniques. Selected modules serve as samples.
