Overview:

Abstract: The reduction of Salt crusts on stone objects is until now a less worked on area, it is more important to show ways without harming or even losing the original substance. With the example of the fountain figure from about the year 1726/1750 it was possible to test the mechanical and chemical cleaning methods in smaller trials and to get a good result with a combination of both of them. In addition, the environment was analyzed and demonstrated again the suggestions for improvement.
