Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The following thesis is concerned with a test series that deals with the question regarding the optical effects of the biocides Preventol® CMK, benzalkonium chloride, Preventol® ON Extra and Preventol® A8 on selected pigments bound in egg yolk. The biocides will be applied to the respective paint finishes. The samples will then be stored in different climatic environments for 20 days and possible changes will be charted via measuring of extinction and remission and subsequently evaluated. Additionally, the paper provides a brief insight into the interrelation of biocides and conservation practice.
