Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The Intention of work was to bring the painting support and the polychromy of the altarpiece to a stable state and to preserve its authenticity. As a result it was intended to create a homogeneous overall appearance of the retable including the condition of the sculptures, which were already restored. The theoretical part provides the reconstruction and the related procedure of reconstruction of the simulated brocade pattern applied on the Kirchberger altar. The findings of the remains of the simulated brocade on the Kirchberger altar were compared with brocades of other Breuer altars.
