Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The subject of this thesis examins the inspection and conservation
work of a portrait of Louise Benedicte, Duchess of Maine, born
Bourbon, Princess of Condé. The main damage of the painting was
caused by the long term unstretched condition. The deformations of
the fabric have also caused a strong loss of paint coverage. The
abstract deals with treating the painting in a conservational manner
and bringing it back into a secured and stretched state.
