Overview:

Abstract: A small cocktail cabinet from the 1950's/60's is presented in its cultural-historical as a desirable piece of furniture of the german post-war period. A profitable construction of this luxury good was made possible by using materials as chipboard for construction and nitrocellulose for sealing the surface. After a technological analysis of the object, a description of the furniture's condition is made and finally concepts for treatment and preservation are proposed.
