Overview:

Abstract: Theory part: To gain details on the water-vapor resistance of the hydrophobic region within the chalk interface, a test-mode in the style of DIN EN 15803 was defined. After an introductive explanation of the covering system the aforesaid approach is clarified and the detected data are discussed. Practical part: The history of the construction of the chapel, the stylistic classification and the technology of the paintings as well as the results of the inventory analysis are preceded to the description of the analysis of the condition as muchl as the discussion of the damages and their causes. Based on this and on the main ambitions of the Denkmalpflege and the parish a concept for the treatment was developed.
