The following thesis deals with the theme „Wandmalereien in St. Marien zu Gardelegen”. Of special importance is the survey considering the damages and earlier restorations. The representative figure of both wallpainting series is the apostle St John. Considering the historical development of this church it was possible to create a complete image of both wallpainting series.
