Abstract: Content is the examination of two fragments of an late Gothic altarpiece from the Angermuseum in Erfurt. The wooden panels show the "Visitation of Mary" and the "Flight to Egypt" on their front sides. A concept for the conservation and restoration work and the new framing and presentation of the objects was created. The practical measures included the removal of a changed varnish, the dealing with earlier measures and an expansion of the panels. Furthermore, a comparison with other objects in the region was made.
