Overview:

Abstract: Subject of this thesis is the development of the concept for complementing defects in the encrusted tabletop. For this purpose, the appearance characteristics of all defects were examined and categorized. Complementary attempts were made in selected areas. The aim was to produce complementary plates that could be used to fill the defects. This was implemented through digital reconstruction and molding and casting techniques. The suitability of various materials and methods was tested, including the possible coloration of the complementary plates. Ultimately, feasible measures were determined.
