Participation fees

Students

These fees are to be paid by bank transfer as soon as possible. Your registration will be confirmed two weeks before the conference. Please don`t forget to add the cost centre number, otherwise our accountants will not know why we receive this payment!

1 EUR = ca. 32 Kc (Czech Crowns – Ceskych Korun)
1 USD = ca. 27 Kc

In the fee are included:

• Participation at the Symposium
• at 27th and 28th of April: two coffee breaks and one lunch
• Participation at excursions
• Free admission to Tugendhat House an the Fair Grounds of Brno

Travel

We advise you to travel by plane from your country to Prague or Wien.

transport Prague-Brno
To get to the train station from Prague International Airport:
Taxi 30 minutes, around 13€.
If the price demanded by the driver exceeds largely this sum, do not hesitate to contact the police or the Taxi company.
Bus 119 or 254, get off at DEJVICKA station, then take the Metro get off at the HLAVNI NADRAZI station - line C or NADRAZI HOLESOVICE - line C
40 minutes, one ticket for 12 KC (0,33€).
Bus 119, get off at DEJVICKA station, then tram 26 get off at HLAVNI NADRAZI station, 45 minutes, one ticket for 12 KC (0,33€).

Train: Frequency 1h-1h30, Duration 2h45-3h30, Price 4-5€
Departures from the Main Train Station (Hlavni nadrazi) or Holsesovice Train Station (Nadrazi Holesovice) – for the EC EuroCity trains (faster and more comfortable)

To get to the bus station from Prague International Airport:
Taxi 25 minutes, around 12€ environ.
Bus 119 or 254, get off at DEJVICKA station,
then take the Metro get off at FLORENC station - line C,
40 minutes, one ticket for 12 KC (0,33€).

transport Vienna-Brno

To get to the Wien Süd Bahnhof train station, take the direct bus from the airport. 25 minutes, 6€.
There are five fast EC trains daily from Wien Süd-Bahnhof to Brno.
The cost is 18€, duration of the trip is 1:41 hourss. Last train : 18:34.

Brno, with its 387000 inhabitants, is the second largest city of the Czech Republic,
and the main city of the Southern Moravia region. Of a convivial atmosphere,
it offers numerous possibilities of entertainment.

In Brno Château Spilberk (museum), Villa Tugendhat (UNESCO), Jewish Cemetary,
Parnas Fountain, Basilica of the Assumption, Museum of the Moravian lands

Outside Brno the Lednice-Valtice castel complex (UNESCO), Kromeriz - historical town, Trebic (UNESCO), the Moravsky Kras carst area with caves and abysses, Olomouc (UNESCO), Nature park of Palava…
